    No vervelend isn’t exactly a synonym of saai.
    Saai is dull or boring.
    Vervelend is annoying, irritating.
    Vervelen (the verb) is to annoy or irritate
    However…
    Zich vervelen is to be bored.
    E.g. het weer vandaag is vreselijk – ik zit me gewoon te vervelen.
