About DWOTD

The goal of the ’Dutch word of the day’ (DWOTD) blog is to provide learners of the Dutch language the context in which words can be used, with the extra bits that are typically not covered in standard language courses.
The ’Dutch word of the day’ (DWOTD) is intended to be a supplement to a Dutch language course and it typically does not cover what you can find in a textbook. There is no methodology and the DWOTD was chosen randomly.

The DWOTD blog ran from 2006 to 2013 and there are over a thousand posts. The alphabetical overview, the random DWOTD generator, or the search function may help you explore the site.
